APEX 3224 EXTREME

APEX3224EXTREME-DEMO

The APEX 3224 Extreme gives you a 32-by-24-foot covered concert stage that two people can set up in under an hour. It rolls in on a single 34-foot gooseneck trailer, unfolds hydraulically, and is ready for a full sound, lighting and video rig before the band has finished soundcheck coffee.

For South Florida promoters, cities and festival producers, that combination is hard to beat. You get the look and load capacity of a built stage without the truck convoy, the scaffolding crew or the day-long build. Reflections Productions runs the 3224 Extreme out of Princeton, Florida, for events across South Florida.

The numbers behind it

The 3224 Extreme carries 8,000 pounds of rigging in its roof and sits on 16 hydraulic jacks, so it handles a real production, not just a podium and two speakers. Figures below come from the Reflections Productions spec sheet for the APEX 3224.

Spec APEX 3224 Extreme
Stage deck 32′ x 23’8″
Deck height 46″ to 66″ (adjustable)
Covered roof 26’3″ x 34′, fiberglass and aluminum
Deck to underside of roof beams about 15’1″ to 15’7″
Total roof capacity 8,000 lb
Roof beams (downstage, center, upstage) 1,000 lb each, evenly distributed
Side wings for line arrays 2,000 lb capacity
Deck support 16 hydraulic jacks, 7,000 lb each
Deck surface rating 150 lb per sq ft (plywood)
Setup 2 people, about 30 minutes to 1 hour
Trailer 34′ long, 102″ wide, 14,150 lb, gooseneck or king-pin hitch
Power for hydraulics 5 hp Honda gas motor plus 1.5 hp 110V electric backup
Audience size 1,000 to 8,000 people

The structure was reviewed against the 2018 and 2021 International Building Code. The engineering letter from Clark-Reder states the design is suitable for use in all 50 states when it is used and inspected per the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Options include 4′ x 8′ deck extensions, aluminum stairs and handrails, a wind deflector, and 70% blow-through mesh banners for the back, top, wings and skirt.

Why event planners love it

The 3224 Extreme hits the sweet spot between a small community stage and a full festival build. It is big enough for a headline band, a DJ setup with full lighting, or a city’s main-stage program, yet it fits on park lawns, beach lots and closed streets where a ground-supported stage would never go.

  • Fast in, fast out. Two crew members can have it up in under an hour, so you can load in the morning of the show and clear the site the same night.
  • Weather-ready roof. The covered fiberglass-and-aluminum roof keeps performers and gear dry during a passing South Florida shower, and the mesh banners let wind blow through.
  • Room to rig. With 8,000 pounds of roof capacity and dedicated line-array wings, there is space for real concert sound, lighting and LED video.
  • Level on any ground. Sixteen hydraulic jacks level the deck on grass, sand-adjacent lots and sloped streets.
  • A clean, branded look. Top, back, wing and skirt banners turn the stage into a billboard for the event or its sponsors.

That makes it a natural fit for city anniversaries and festivals, concerts in the park, holiday events, corporate launches, school and church celebrations, and political or community rallies.

Open questions before publishing

  • What makes the Extreme different from the standard 3224? Nothing published online describes it. One manufacturer sheet lists 14,500 lb of total roof capacity, 4 fly bays and a cantilever beam, against 8,000 lb on the Reflections sheet. If the Extreme has the higher ratings, update the table.
  • Which phone number goes in the call to action: 786-504-2369 (on the spec sheet) or 305-776-0589?
  • Add a photo of the stage on site and one or two real events it has worked.
